Cadence: How Growth OS runs
Weekly review + monthly instrumentation review to keep the system alive.
Why it matters
A system only works when it's used. Cadence is the minimal set of rituals that keeps KPI definitions, tracking, and experiments in sync.
Template
Weekly Growth Review (30–45 min)
- Snapshot: NSM, activation rate, TTV, W1 retention
- Top 3 changes this week
- Segment view: source/plan/role
- Decisions: 1–2 experiments for next week
- Instrumentation/data-quality blockers
Monthly Instrumentation Review (30 min)
- What changed? is it in the spec?
- Do events and dashboards match definitions?
- Are owners assigned?
Common mistakes
- Weekly meeting with no decisions.
- Nobody owns metric definitions.
- No "ship/rollback" decisions after experiments.
Example output
A steady rhythm: ~4 experiments/month, 1 tracking iteration/month, zero mystery metrics.
